Privacy Policy

What FantasyHoops.eu collects, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

FantasyHoops.eu is an independent, unofficial fan site covering EuroLeague basketball news and fantasy tools. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Euroleague Basketball. If you have questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can contact us.

What we collect

We keep this to the minimum needed to run the site:

  • Standard server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider logs basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
  • A moderator session cookie. Used only to keep our site moderator signed in to the Team Builder and Articles admin tools. It carries no personal data about visitors and isn't set unless someone actually signs in.
  • Analytics cookies (only with your consent). If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). See "Analytics" below.
  • Advertising cookies. If you see ads on this site, they are served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve and measure ads. See "Advertising & cookies" below.

We don't require account creation to read the site, and we don't sell your personal data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are popular and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Reject" (or make no choice), no analytics cookies are stored; Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed) which cannot be used to identify you across visits. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

Google processes this data on our behalf; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Advertising & cookies

We use, or intend to use, Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.

Third-party links

Our news pages aggregate headlines and excerpts from other EuroLeague publishers, with links back to the original source. Once you click through, you're on that publisher's site and subject to their own privacy policy — we have no control over their content or practices.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR relating to any personal data processed about you (including via cookies) — such as access, correction, deletion, and objecting to processing. Because we hold almost no personal data ourselves (see above), most of these requests will concern the advertising cookies set by Google, which you can manage directly via the links in "Advertising & cookies" above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes — for example, when advertising is switched on. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
